All you have to do is “follow” me on Amazon.

Ok, I tend to be a little behind on things. I am a writer after all, which means I disappear into my writer’s cave for months on end, then reappear suddenly, eyes blinking. I was ready to do a Goodreads Giveaway for my last book, but suddenly — it cost money! I swore by Goodreads Giveaways for years until they weren’t free anymore. Then I just swore.

Amazon Giveaways are a cheaper alternative. I know they’ve been around for awhile, but I thought, ok... I’m ready to give one a go. I mean, it is cheaper (I only have to pay to essentially buy my own book to give it away).

The question that I’m wondering is: does it make sense for a self-published author? There is a lot of stuff on the Giveaway page, and I don’t see a way to search for just books. Unless I’m just daft? So my fear is that I many be reaching more people, but less of the RIGHT people. Who are the right people? Actual readers who like to read the genre that I write. Like on Goodreads.

So this is a bit of an experiment. More to come!
